David Banner’s Mission of Empowerment Lecture
Mr. Banner’s mission of empowerment is to educate all students on the importance of controlling every aspect of their business. He will emphasize that every educational path should include a viable plan of action with this goal in mind.
He will also be pointing out to students that the difference they want to make can begin now. His own activism includes being awarded a Visionary Award by the National Black Caucus of the State Legislature in recognition of his work after Hurricane Katrina, testifying before Congress about racism and misogyny in hip hop music, addressing the families of Trayvon Martin and Kendrec McDade at a West Angeles Rally and recently speaking at Harvard University regarding the LA Riots 20 years ago and how the social dynamic relates to the world we live in today. It is important to continue leading the way and being the face of change in America and its youth.
